TAB DELIMITED DATA FILES

Every Hire Success Personality includes a standard "Tab-Delimited" Text Data File with every Report. Tab-Delimited files are a common data Import format used by most commercial Database systems, spreadsheets (Such as Microsoft Excel), word processors, mail-merge tools and Custom Report Writers. The following Table illustrates the 2 Data Records included in each file. The Top Row is has the Data Field Names, the Second Row (record) is the actual Data used to generate the report:

Even the "Bars" from the Bar Chart on the Summary Report are included in the Database in the event you need to use that data to create a Custom Report using a Custom Report Writing Tool.

When importing data into a database, or selecting data using a data-merge utility, the receiving database normally has a "Data Mapping" feature that lets you define which Data Fields you want to import and which field names in the receiving database each should be "mapped" to or associated with. Using Data Mapping, you then only import the data fields you wish. All are provided to give you choices, but not all would necessarily be imported.

Having this file available allows a simple, easy method for import data for almost any purpose. You may want to import data into a Spreadsheet to do analysis on results of many applicants or employees, or look for trends, create usage reports or compare different groups of people.
